Kuber Science Co., Ltd. Privacy Policy

 

Kuber Science Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kuber Science) legally processes and manages personal information in compliance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws in Korea to protect the freedom and rights of data subjects. Accordingly, in order to guide the data subject to the procedures and standards for processing personal information in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, and to facilitate the processing of related grievances quickly and smoothly, we will disclose the personal information processing policy as follows.

Purpose of processing personal information

KuberScience processes personal information for the following purposes.
The personal information being processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following purposes, and if the purpose of use is changed, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent pursuant to Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act will be implemented.

1.  Confirmation of membership and management membership intention, identification and certification according to the provision of membership services, maintenance and management of membership, prevention of illegal use of services, confirmation of the consent of legal representatives when processing personal information, various notices and notices, and process personal information for grievance purposes.
2.  Personal information is processed by providing goods or services, delivering goods, providing services, sending contracts and invoices, providing content, providing customized services, personal authentication, fee settlement, and debt collection.
   
   

Processing and retention period of personal information

1. Kuber Science processes and holds personal information within the period of retention and use of personal information under the Act or the period of retention and use of personal information agreed upon when collecting personal information from the data subject.
2.  Each of these personal information processing and retention periods is as follows.

           – Records on consumer complaints or disputes: 3 years
         2) Storage of communication fact confirmation data under the Communications Secret Protection Act
           – Subscriber telecommunication date and time, start and end time, counterparty subscriber number, frequency of use, and source station location tracking data: 1 year
           – Computer communication, Internet log records, access point tracking data: 3 months

Personal Information Items to Process

KuberScience is processing the following privacy items.

1. Membership and management
   • Required items: Name, country, email address,

Provision of personal information to a third party

1. Kuber Science processes the personal information of the data subject only within the scope specified for the purpose of processing the personal information, and provides personal information to a third party only if it falls under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as the consent of the data subject and special provisions of the law, and does not provide the personal information of the data subject to a third party other than that.
2. Kuber Science may provide personal information to related organizations without the consent of the data subject in the event of emergency situations such as disasters, infectious diseases, events and accidents that cause urgent life and physical danger, and urgent property loss, according to the law.
   In this case, KuberScience will provide only the minimum amount of personal information necessary in accordance with the underlying laws and will not provide it differently from its purpose.
   ※ (Individual) Location information business operator – A person who obtains permission under the Location Information Protection Act and collects location information and provides it to a person who conducts location-based service business
   ※ Telecommunications business operator – a person who registers or reports (including those exempted from reporting) and provides telecommunications services under the Telecommunications Business Act
   ※ Identification agency – Identification agency under Article 23-3 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc
   ※ Resident registration number alternative subscription means provider – Resident registration number alternative subscription means provider under Article 24-2 of the Personal Information Protection Act
   ※ Information and communication service provider – a telecommunications service provider under subparagraph 8 of Article 2 of the Telecommunications Business Act and a person who provides information or mediates the provision of information using the telecommunications service of the telecommunications service provider for profit

The destruction of personal information

1. Kuber Science destroys the personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary, such as the expiration of the personal information retention period and the achievement of the processing purpose.
2. If the retention period of personal information agreed by the data subject has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, it is necessary to continue to preserve personal information according to other laws and regulations, transfer the personal information to a separate database (DB) or store it differently.
3. The procedures and methods of destroying personal information are as follows.
   1. Reversal procedure
   Kuber Science selects the personal information that caused the reason for destruction and destroys the personal information with the approval of Kuber Science’s personal information protection officer.
   2. How to destroy
   Kuber Science destroys personal information recorded and stored in the form of electronic files so that records cannot be reproduced, and destroys personal information recorded and stored in paper documents by crushing or incineration with a shredder.

Measures concerning the destruction of personal information of non-users (in cases of destruction)

1. Kuber Science is destroying the information of users who have not used the service for a year. However, it can be stored and managed separately from other users’ personal information until the preservation period specified by other laws and regulations has elapsed.
2. Kuber Science informs users of the fact that personal information is destroyed 30 days before the destruction of personal information, the expiration date of the period, and the items of the destroyed personal information in a way that can be notified by e-mail or text message.
