Dr. Jes\u00fas Esquide delivered a scientific\nlecture at IMCAS World Congress Paris 2026, presenting an advanced clinical\napproach to melasma treatment based on the combination of skin boosters with\naesthetic technologies.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The session, titled \u201cThe Revolution in\nMelasma Therapy,\u201d<\/i> introduced a comprehensive strategy for managing melasma,\na chronic and recurrent hyperpigmentation disorder that significantly affects\npatients\u2019 quality of life and remains challenging to treat due to frequent\nrelapses and multifactorial causes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

During the lecture, Dr. Esquide explained\nthe pathophysiology of melasma, including the role of ultraviolet exposure,\nhormonal influences, genetic predisposition, inflammation, and vascular\ninvolvement. He emphasized that mixed-type melasma \u2014 the most common and\ndifficult to treat \u2014 requires a personalized and multimodal therapeutic\napproach.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
